Upgrade from 4.0 to 5.0 on a central server

If you plan to use SysUsage from a central server to draw graphs with data collected from multiple remote hosts, you may want to recover old collected data on these remote hosts.

This is pretty simple as SysUsage will create a directory per remote host defined in the configuration file under the DATA_DIR repository.

So let's suppose you have an host called dbprod1 that was monitored by SysUsage v4.0, just enter a new section [REMOTE dbprod1] on the central configuration file as explain in documentation and copy the content of the remote host data directory under the DATA_DIR/dbprod1/ directory. Create it if it doesn't exists.

After that, install rsysusage on the remote host. When you will recovered your graphs/data on the central server after running sysusagejqgraph or sysusagegraph, you can safely remove old data files from the remote host.

That's done.
